Leyson Septimo, a 27-year old reliever for the White Sox, has been on the disabled list since August 14 with left biceps inflammation. Now Septimo is reportedly on the road back to the lineup, with a rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte on Friday night, according to Dan Hayes of CSN-Chicago.
The Dominican pitcher made his major league debut on July 29, pitching a perfect ninth inning and striking out both Alex Rodriguez and Robinson Cano, but has since faltered with six walks in his next 11 appearances on the mound, leading to an 0-2 record and 6.00 ERA in the 2012 season.
Septimo, a left-hander, appeared in the 2009 All-Star Futures Game and was a Summer League All-Star during the 2010 season.
