White Sox Vs. Royals Preview: Chicago Looks To Avoid The Kansas City Sweep

The Chicago White Sox lead the AL Central by the slimmest of margins over the Detroit Tigers and can ill-afford another loss to the Kansas City Royals on Sunday afternoon at Kauffman Stadium. The Royals have taken the last two games from the White Sox and will be looking for the sweep.

Jose Quintana will get the start on the mound for Chicago. The left-hander has been solid all year long as he currently has a record of 5-2 and an ERA of 2.77. In his last 10 outings, the 23-year-old has gone 3-1 (with his last win coming against the Toronto Blue Jays on Aug. 14) and has a 3.09 ERA.

First pitch of the Sunday's series finale against Kansas City will be at 1:10 p.m. CT.
