White Sox Vs. Royals Preview: Game Time And TV Schedule

The AL Central-leading Chicago White Sox dropped the first of their three games against the host Kansas City RoyalsFriday night, 4-2, and will try to get one back in the wins column against the division's cellar dweller Saturday.

Royals starter Luis Mendoza outdueled White Sox ace Chris Sale, who will have to wait to earn his 15th victory on the season. Royals catcher Salvador Perez had the winning knock in the seventh inning, a two-out double scoring Mike Moustakas and Alcides Escobar.

Right-hander Jake Peavy (9-8, 3.04 ERA) will toe the rubber for the White Sox. He has recorded four consecutive quality starts, going 2-1 with a 2.20 ERA in that span. The Royals beat him earlier this month.

Kansas City will start left-hander Bruce Chen (8-10, 5.56 ERA), who has given up six runs in his last two starts.
