The Chicago White Sox have placed first baseman Paul Konerko on the seven-day disabled list while he recovers from a concussion suffered against the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday. The team has yet to make a corresponding roster move.

With Konerko sidelined, Adam Dunn will start at first base on Friday night, Dayan Viciedo will be the designated hitter and Jordan Danks will start in left field.
Konerko is hitting .316/.388/.504 with 18 home runs and 54 RBI in 2012. He will be eligible to return next Friday.
