What does a baseball team do for an encore after beating the squad with the best record in the majors 19-2 a day ago? That's the question the Chicago White Sox will try to answer when they meet up with the Texas Rangers at U.S. Cellular Field on Wednesday in the middle contest of a three-game set.
The South Siders hit three home runs in the first inning on Tuesday and finished with 21 hits. Starter and All-Star Chris Sale was fantastic. Wendesday's Chicago starter Dylan Axelrod hopes the offense saved some runs for him. Axelrod enters at 0-1 with a 4.50 ERA and a WHIP of 1.35. This will be the fourth start of the season for the 26-year old.
Texas will send out 29-year old righty Scott Feldman, who is 2-6 this season with a 6.13 ERA and a 1.53 WHIP.
Game Date & Time: Wednesday, July 4, 6:10 p.m. CT
TV: CSN, ESPN
