White Sox Vs. Tigers Score Update: Chicago Falls 7-1

After a flurry of roster moves to bolster the team before the game, the Chicago White Sox came out and delivered a flat performance in a 7-1 loss to the Detroit Tigers. With the loss, the White Sox fell a 1/2 game behind Detroit in the AL Central Division.

The White Sox bats had no answer for Rick Porcello, who was dominant on the mound in the win. Porcello pitched 8.0 innings and allowed only one earned run to pick up his 7th win of the season. Porcello allowed only five hits, and no Chicago batter was able to record multiple hits in the loss.

Chris Sale didn't have his best stuff in the loss, allowing five earned runs in seven innings. Sale was dominant through the first four innings, but then struggled in the 5th and 6th, giving up five runs. Austin Jackson drove in four runs to help the Tigers cruise to the win.
