White Sox Vs. Red Sox: LHP Pedro Hernandez Will Start For Chicago On Wednesday

With Gavin Floyd hitting the disabled list, the Chicago White Sox have recalled Pedro Hernandez from triple-A to start Wednesday's game against the Boston Red Sox.

Hernandez has spent time with both double-A Birmingham and triple-A Charlotte in 2012. He made 12 starts for Birmingham and went 7-2 with a 2.75; he has a 3.75 ERA in 12 innings of work for Charlotte.

In six minor league seasons, Hernandez is 32-13 with a 3.42 ERA. He has career averages of 7.5 strikeouts and 1.6 walks per nine innings pitched.
