White Sox Vs. Royals Final Score: White Sox Hold On To Defeat Kansas City 2-1

It wasn't easy, but the Chicago White Sox were able to go into Kauffman Stadium over the weekend and take two of three from the Kansas City Royals.

After winning on Friday in extra innings and losing Saturday, the White Sox rode the strong arm of Chris Sale to another victory. Sale continued his brilliant season on Sunday, throwing eight innings while scattering 10 hits and only allowing a single run. All in all, it was another sterling performance that led to the 23-year-old picking up his 11th win.

Chicago led the entire game, starting off right with Adam Dunn hitting a solo home run off of Luis Mendoza, his 28th on the campaign. In the second frame, Alex Rios scored on an Alexei Ramirez double-play ball, with that ultimately being the winning run.

The only Royals run came across in the fifth on a Chris Getz single.

The White Sox now head to Fenway Park for a crucial four game series with the Boston Red Sox, with Kevin Youkilis making his much anticipated return.
