After hosting this year's MLB All Star Game this week, the Kansas City Royals will be welcoming the Chicago White Sox on Friday as both teams open the second half of the regular season. The game is the beginning of a ten-game road trip for the White Sox.

While the road trip certainly qualifies as a challenge for Chicago, the White Sox have a very solid 23-16 record away from U.S. Cellular Field this year. They also played quite well before the break, winning 11 of their final 15 games before Adam Dunn, Jake Peavy, Chris Sale and Paul Konerko represented the Pale Hose at the big festivities.

The White Sox have played well on the road this season, but Kauffman Stadium has recently been a difficult place for them to play: Chicago hasn't won a series in Kansas City since July 2009.

Game time/date: Friday, July 13, 7:10 p.m. CT

Location: Kauffman Stadium, Kansas City, Mo.

TV: WGN
