Good news for the Chicago White Sox as John Danks recovers from a shoulder strain: Danks won't have an MRI on his shoulder and will be able to return to work on Tuesday.
No MRI for Danks, resume work on Tuesday
— Mark Gonzales (@MDGonzales) July 1, 2012
Danks has been on the disabled list since May 20th, and hasn't pitched in a game since May 19th when he held the Chicago Cubs scoreless through six innings. If Danks is able to throw with no setbacks this week, he'll likely ready himself for a rehab stint sometime in the near future before returning to the first place White Sox.
On the season, Danks has posted a 5.70 ERA in nine starts.
