White Sox Vs. Astros Final Score: Adam Dunn Grand Slam Powers Chicago To 10-1 Win

The Chicago White Sox (33-26) got another strong start from SP Chris Sale, and the duo of the 23-year-old lefty and the 32-year-old DH Adam Dunn powered the Sox to a 10-1 win of the Houston Astros (25-34).

Sale (W, 8-2) pitched 8.0 innings, allowing only 4 singles while striking out 7 and walking no batters. Meanwhile, the top of the order -- CF Alejandro De Aza, 2B Gordon Beckham, DH Adam Dunn and 1B Paul Konerko -- combined for 10 hits, 2 walks and 9 runs batted in.

The Sox, hitting in the bottom of the fifth, added five runs with four singles two walks, a sacrifice fly and a fortuitous throwing error from 3B Matt Downs. Dunn then added an insurance grand slam in eighth inning to give the Sox a 10-0 lead and a 10-1 final.
