White Sox Vs. Astros Preview: Chicago Hosts Struggling Houston Team

The White Sox are hosting the Astros this weekend in a third meeting between the teams since the 2005 World Series.

Presswire

Coming off a shaky series against the Toronto Blue Jays, the Chicago White Sox are meeting the Houston Astros at just the right time. Not only are the Astros a terrible team on the road that's lost 19 of 25 games away from Minute Maid Park this year, they're also in a bit of a rough patch themselves having lost nine of 11 games.

For a team that's played unusually poorly at home this season, the White Sox are meeting a poor road team at just the right time. Chicago actually has a better record on the road than at U.S. Cellular Field this season; the White Sox have the best winning percentage on the road of any MLB team so far this year.

This will be the third regular season series between the two teams since their meeting in the 2005 World Series.

Game Time: 7:10 p.m. CDT

Location: U.S. Cellular Field, Chicago, Ill.

Broadcast: CSN
