After an offensive explosion in the series-opener against the New York Yankees, the Chicago White Sox couldn't find an answer for Hiroki Kuroda, as they fell 4-0 at Yankee Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Following a 14-run barrage on Friday, the White Sox managed only three hits off the dazzling Kuroda. Kuroda struck out 11 batters and allowed only three hits in seven innings on the mound. Jake Peavy was very impressive on the mound as well for the White Sox. Peavy struck out 11 batters in eight innings, but allowed three home runs in the loss.
Curtis Granderson, DeWayne Wise and Robinson Cano each went deep for the Yankees. Wise had three hits out of the nine-spot in the lineup while Granderson and Cano each had two hits in the win.
