White Sox Vs. Yankees Final Score: White Sox Trounce Yankees, 14-7

The Chicago White Sox's first three batters went 2-16 on Friday night, but they were more than picked up by the rest of the lineup, which piled up 17 hits on their own in a 14-7 victory over the New York Yankees. Very rarely do the Yankees get out-slugged at home, but a run total in the teens is nothing new for this year's White Sox.

The White Sox saw homers from Paul Konerko, Alexei Ramirez and two from A.J. Pierzynski as well as doubles from Ramirez, Alejandro De Aza, Dayan Viciedo and two from Gordon Beckham. They picked up ten more singles. They also walked four times. Things got so bad for the Yankees that outfielder Dewayne Wise was brought in to pick up the final two outs in relief.

Chicago starter Jose Quintana allowed six runs in six innings, but Chicago's bullpen was able to hold the Yankees to only one run as the White Sox pulled away.

The two teams will take the field again on Saturday at 12:05 p.m. CT.
