Chicago White Sox reliever Jesse Crain will not be available to pitch on Friday or Saturday because of a shoulder injury. Crain has not been placed on the disabled list, though another DL stint is a possibility, reports Mark Gonzales.
Crain (shoulder) said he's not available through Saturday. DL a possibility if situation doesn't improve— Mark Gonzales (@MDGonzales) June 29, 2012
Crain spent time on the DL earlier in the season with a strained oblique; he returned from that stint on May 15.
Crain has a 2.38 ERA in 22-2/3 innings of work in 2012, with 28 strikeouts and nine walks.
