The Chicago White Sox won their first game of the Kevin Youkilis era on Tuesday night when the South Siders defeated the Minnesota Twins 3-2 at Target Field behind a brilliant pitching performance from right-hander Gavin Floyd. In Wednesday, the Sox will send emerging ace Chris Sale to the mound in the series rubber against Twins starter Nick Blackburn.

Sale, Chicago's 6-foot-6 lefty, is 8-2 with a 2.24 ERA and 0.96 WHIP thus far. The 23-year old threw eight scoreless innings, surrendering only four hits, against the Milwaukee Brewers in his last start.
Blackburn enters at 4-4 with a 7.45 ERA and 1.73 WHIP. So yeah: the Sox should have the upper hand in this matchup. Chicago will be looking to win its second straight series. The White Sox are currently in first place in the AL Central, holding a 1.5 game over the Cleveland Indians and a three game lead over the Detroit Tigers.
