White Sox Vs. Brewers Final Score: Chicago Falls 1-0 In Extras

The Chicago White Sox once again received a gem of a start from budding ace Chris Sale, but Milwaukee Brewers starter Zack Greinke was a bit better. Sale shut the Brewers out over the course of eight innings on Friday night, allowing only four hits while striking out seven. Greinke, on the other hand, allowed only three hits across nine innings, though he struck out only four batters. A Rickie Weeks single in the top of the 10th inning, though, gave both Milwaukee and Greinke the win.

Of course, the other way to look at the game is that the White Sox hitting just wasn't good enough. Greinke is a fantastic pitcher, but there may have been some truth to that tonight, as the White Sox had no extra base hits and never advanced a runner past first base.

The two teams will get together again on Saturday night, at 6:15 p.m. CT.
