2012 MLB Draft: White Sox Will Focus On Pitching

The Chicago White Sox will pick 13th overall in this months 2012 MLB Draft, but scouting director Doug Laumann isn't feeling the talent. Laumann told the Chicago Tribune this draft class is "as thin as I've seen in a decade".

More newsworthy is Laumann hinting that the organization will again make starting pitching the focus of the draft this year.

"Typically it is," he said. "(The organization) has always said that pitching's where it starts. We kind of feel that way, although you certainly have to have people that can catch the ball and throw it across the infield."

The South Siders also own the No. 48 pick.
