White Sox Vs. Dodgers Score Update: Chicago Drops Heartbreaker

The Chicago White Sox were just one inning away from leaving Los Angeles having won two out of three in their series against the Dodgers. However, a blown save by Addison Reed erased an outstanding pitching performance from Jose Quintana and led to the White Sox falling 2-1 in 10 innings.

Quintana kept the talented Dodgers lineup off balance nearly the entire game, as he pitched eight shutout innings. Quintana allowed only five hits and struck out six batters during his impressive effort. However, Reed was unable to close the game out, as he allowed two hits and walked a batter in the 9th inning. Dee Gordon drove in the winning run for Los Angeles on a liner off of Matt Thornton, who earned the loss.

Chris Capuano was impressive for the Dodgers, striking out 12 batters and allowing only one earned run in eight innings.
