White Sox Vs. Dodgers Preview: Quintana Looks To Lead Chicago To Victory

The Chicago White Sox can take the series from the Los Angeles Dodgers with a victory on Sunday, and leading the charge will be starting pitcher Jose Quintana. Quintana has made four starts for Chicago this season, with two coming since he was put back into the rotation on June 6. In those two starts he's given up only three earned runs in 11.1 innings, but he may not be able to sustain that for much longer. In those starts, he's given up a whopping 19 hits, and though he's only walked a single batter, he's also only struck out five. If Quintana is going to keep his earned runs as low as he has, he'll likely need to give up much fewer hits.

His opponent on Sunday will be Dodgers starter Chris Capuano, who has had a stellar start to the 2012 season, posting a 2.87 ERA and a 1.16 WHIP in 13 starts. That said, he has shown a sliver of vulnerability in June, giving up 10 earned runs in 15.1 innings over three starts.

Game date/time: Sunday, June 17, 3:10 p.m. CT

Location: Dodger Stadium, Los Angeles, Calif.

TV: CSN
