John Danks Allows 1 Earned Run In 4 Innings Of Rehab Start

White Sox pitcher Jonh Danks had his first rehab start on Tuesday, giving up four runs (one earned) over four innings for the Triple-A Charlotte Knights.

Danks went on the DL retroactive to May 20 with soreness in his left shoulder. On Tuesday, he allowed four hits and one walk while throwing 61 pitches, 34 for strikes. This season, he is 3-4 with a 5.70 ERA for the White Sox. Manager Robin Ventura said he expects Danks to make one or two rehab starts before coming back up to Chicago.

Rookie Jose Quintana has filled in for Danks. He is 1-0 with a 2.05 ERA in five appearances, including three starts. Quintana is scheduled to start against the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday.
