Injured Chicago White Sox reliever Jesse Crain is going to throw a bullpen session on Wednesday, and if everything goes as planned he could return to the Sox as early as next week.
Crain threw a pen on Monday and will throw another Wed. If that goes well, Charlotte Friday and Sunday and then back to White Sox

Crain, who has not appeared in a game for the White Sox since April 20, has a 2.57 ERA in seven innings of work this season; he has 10 strikeouts and one walk. He figures to be an important part of Chicago's bullpen when he returns, just as he was during the 2011 season.
