White Sox vs. Tigers Score Update: Chicago Drops Series-Finale

After 9th inning heroics from each team in the first two games of the series, the series-finale between the Chicago White Sox and Detroit Tigers didn't quite have that excitement, as the Tigers used an excellent pitching performance from Rick Porcello to earn a 3-1 win.

Porcello allowed only one earned run in 6.1 innings pitched to pick up his third win of the season. Prince Fielder delivered his fourth home run of the season, while Austin Jackson and Andy Dirks also drove in runs to help the Tigers emerge with a win.

In his first start of the season, Dylan Axelrod allowed two earned runs in 4.1 innings. In the loss, Adam Dunn continued his recent success at the plate, hitting his second home run in as many games. Dunn has now homered in four of the past five games and has driven in at least one run in six straight games.
