The Chicago White Sox are trailing 2-1 to the Detroit Tigers after six innings on Sunday afternoon as Detroit starter Rick Porcello continues a recent little hot streak for himself. The White Sox are hoping to love the Motor City with a series victory but they'll have to come back from a one-run deficit in the final three frames.
Dylan Axelrod made his first start of the 2012 season for Chicago on Sunday, lasting just over four innings despite giving up only two runs. The Tigers made him work hard for his outs, as he had thrown 99 pitches when the White Sox pulled him with one out in the fifth inning. Porcello has given up just one run on four hits in six innings.
All three runs on the day have been scored by homers. Adam Dunn continues his resurgence for the White Sox this season as he hit his ninth homer of the season in the first inning. Prince Fielder and Austin Jackson each hit homers for the Tigers, they each have four homers apiece this season now.
