After seeing the Detroit Tigers rally for a win in the opening game of this series, the Chicago White Sox exacted some revenge, scoring two runs in the 9th inning to steal a 3-2 victory.
Adam Dunn proved to be the hero for the White Sox, as he hit a two-run homer off of Jose Valverde in the 9th inning to give Chicago the win. The lone run scored prior to Dunn's home run came off the bat of Paul Konerko, who hit a solo shot in the 7th inning.
Both starting pitchers were impressive, with Gavin Floyd pitching 7 innings and allowing only two earned runs in the no decision. Max Scherzer was dominant for the Tigers, striking out nine batters in 7 innings and allowing only one earned run.
