2012 MLB Mock Draft: MLB.com Predicts White Sox Will Select Pitcher Chris Stratton

The latest 2012 MLB Mock Draft from MLB.com's Jonathon Mayo suggest the Chicago White Sox will select yet another college pitcher with their No. 13 overall pick:

13. Chicago White Sox: Chris Stratton, RHP, Mississippi State
The White Sox might have an interest in a high school hitter like Hawkins, but they tend to go for college pitching early. They have scouted Wacha, Stratton and Heaney closely in recent weeks. The latter two have helped themselves with strong performances down the stretch, and both threw very well in conference tournament play. Some believe that they like Stratton a touch over Heaney.

With a minor league system that ranks among the worst in the MLB, the Sox will look to add some young talent to their dearth of top tier prospects.

In his senior year (2012), Stratton managed an impressive 2.22 ERA with 107 strikeouts and only 19 walks.
