One day after hitting a meaningless RBI single in his first plate appearance with the Chicago White Sox, recently-acquired infielder Orlando Hudson will make his first start with the team against the Minnesota Twins.
Hudson was recently released by the San Diego Padres after struggling badly during a year-plus there, and the White Sox hope that he gain regain some of his past success while helping the team's infield out.
From 2002 through the beginning of this season, Hudson had never played any other position than second base at the MLB level. He's making his first career MLB start at third base tonight, his first pro start there since 2001 with Triple-A Syracuse.
