Twins Vs. White Sox Final Score: Gavin Floyd Falters As White Sox Lose 9-2

Gavin Floyd had another nightmare outing against the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night, as the White Sox's right-hander allowed eight hits, three walks and nine earned runs over 3.2 innings during a 9-2 loss to the Minnesota Twins at U.S. Cellular Field. Minnesota moves to 15-27 with the victory, while the White Sox snap a four-game winning streak to fall to 21-22.

Minnesota scored four in the second and five in the fourth. That was all the offense the Twins and starter P.J. Walters would need. Minnesota's mid-innings scoring binge was highlighted by a three-run homer from first baseman Justin Morneau, his sixth of the year.

Gordon Beckham hit his fifth home run of the season in the first inning to give the White Sox a brief lead. Paul Konerko finished 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in his return to the lineup.
