MLB Mock Draft 2012: Michael Wacha Goes To Chicago White Sox In Minor League Ball Projection

The Chicago White Sox hold the No. 13 overall pick in the 2012 MLB Draft. For a team with one of the worst farm systems in baseball, the draft takes on extra significance. In the most recent mock from Minor League Ball, the White Sox are projected to take Texas A&M right-hander Michael Wacha. The 6-foot-6 junior is 8-0 this season with a 2.14 ERA for the Aggies.

The scouting report on Wacha certainly makes him sound like the type of player White Sox GM Kenny Williams often covets. Wacha is said to have a "low ceiling, high floor", meaning that he's seen as a safe selection who doesn't have huge upside.
