2012 MLB Standings: Lots Of Work Ahead For Cubs, White Sox

The White Sox are in second place in the AL Central, while the Cubs are stuck in last place in the NL Central.

The Cubs and White Sox met over the weekend and the Sox prevailed in all three games, helping them draw closer to the first place Indians in the AL Central. The Cubs, meanwhile, are seven games out of first place in the NL Central after a tough week -- their six-game losing streak is currently the longest in Major League Baseball.

AL Central
1. Cleveland (23-18)
2. White Sox (21-21; 2.5 games back)
3. Detroit (20-21)
4. Kansas City (16-24)
5. Minnesota (14-27)

NL Central
1. St. Louis (22-19)
2. Cincinnati (21-19)
3. Pittsburgh (19-22)
4. Houston (18-23)
5. Milwaukee (17-24)
6. Cubs (15-26; 7.0 games back)
