Welington Castillo Injury Update: Cubs Catcher Could Miss A Week

Throughout the first six weeks of the season, not much has gone right for the Chicago Cubs. The team is off to a 15-24 start and has been hampered by injuries. One position that has really been ravaged by injury is catcher, with Geovany Soto sidelined because of a knee injury. According to Doug Padilla at ESPNChicago, Welington Castillo, who replaced Soto at the position, has also been bitten by the injury bug:

@ESPNChiCubs: Cubs catcher woes continue. Now W Castillo with mild MCL sprain. Could miss a week.

Castillo has struggled at the plate in limited appearances this season. He has just five hits in 27 plate appearances. However, he has been better recently, including two multi-hit games in his past four appearances.
