Geovany Soto Injury: Cubs Catcher Has Slight Left Knee Tear

Chicago Cubs catcher Geovany Soto might be headed for the disabled list. On Friday afternoon, it was announced the MRI on Soto's left knee revealed a slight tear.

Soto was scratched from Thursday's loss to the Philadelphia Phillies. The 29-year old catcher is hitting .161 with three homers and six RBI this season for the Cubs in 93 plate appearances.The North Siders will start 25-year old Welington Castillo behind the plate today vs. the Chicago White Sox at Wrigley Field. Castillo is hitting .208 with one homer and four RBI in 24 at-bats this season.
