The Chicago White Sox open a short two-game home series against the Detroit Tigers on Monday night as they hope to improve their showing at U.S. Cellular Field. So far this season, the White Sox are just 6-11 at home, much worse than the 10-8 record they've posted on the road.
In the Tigers, the White Sox are facing one of the most inconsistent teams in all of baseball at the moment. Since April 28, the Tigers have posted a 7-7 record, but they've never won consecutive games during that time span. Detroit hasn't had a winning streak since taking four straight (including one against Chicago) from April 15-18.
John Danks is going for the White Sox as he looks to have a second straight quality outing. After a rough start to the season, Danks gave up two runs over seven innings against Cleveland on May 8.
