Adam Dunn's strong bounce-back season continued on Friday night as he hit a solo shot to right field to give the White Sox a 1-0 lead over the Royals in the first inning. The blast was Dunn's 11th of the year, matching his 2011 season total. What took 496 plate appearances in 2011 has taken just 139 in 2012.

Dunn came into the night hitting .243/.384/.586 with eight doubles to go with 10 home runs and 25 RBI.
The White Sox still hold a 1-0 lead over the Royals as the game moves into the bottom of the third inning.
