The Chicago White Sox are in Texas this weekend to play the Rangers, and that gave Robin Ventura and Nolan Ryan a chance to speak face-to-face for the first time since they got into a famous bench-clearing fight 19 years ago.
Ryan, the Hall of Fame pitcher who is the Texas Rangers president, went to the visitors’ clubhouse before Friday’s opener to wish good luck to Ventura before his managerial debut for the Chicago White Sox.

The video of the altercation between those two is still popular in Texas, but the Rangers do not plan on airing it while the White Sox are in town.
