White Sox Vs. Rangers: Chicago Drops Opener, 3-2

Chicago White Sox lefty John Danks struck out six through six innings of work in the team's season opener against the Texas Rangers, but Chicago's bats could not must more than two runs to help Danks's effort. The White Sox lost 3-2 in Texas.

Adam Dunn homered leading off the sixth inning. Alexi Ramirez roped a line drive single to right field with two outs that drove Alex Rios home. That tied the game. Texas answered in the bottom of the sixth when Michael Young singled Josh Hamilton home, and that was all the Rangers needed for the win.

Colby Lewis pitched six innings, allowing seven hits, two runs and one walk. He struck out nine to pick up his first win of the season. Both bullpens were nearly flawless, allowing just one hit between the two teams. Joe Nathan retired the side for his first save of the year and his first with the Rangers.

The White Sox are back in action on Saturday night for their second of three games in a season opening series with the Rangers.
