The Chicago White Sox lost a heart-breaker on the road to the Oakland Athletics on Wednesday afternoon, but Chicago won't have to wait around thinking about the defeat for long. The Boston Red Sox come to U.S. Cellular Field on Thursday to start a four-game series. In the opener, Philip Humber will oppose 24-year old Boston starter Felix Doubront.
Humber, as you may have heard, pitched a perfect game in his last start against the Seattle Mariners. Humber's numbers are predictably sparkling. Humber enters against Boston at 1-0 with a 0.63 ERA and a 0.63 WHIP.
The White Sox enter 10-8, while Boston is 7-10.
