White Sox Vs. Athletics Final Score: South Siders Lose In Oakland

The Chicago White Sox and Oakland A's were stuck in a scoreless tie until the bottom of the eighth inning on Tuesday night, when Oakland score a pair of runs en route to a 2-0 victory at O.co Coliseum. Kurt Suzuki got the scoring started in the eighth inning when he doubled to left field to score Daric Barton. Eric Sogard would add another run for the Athletics whe he singled to left to drive in Suzuki.

Gavin Floyd was brilliant for Chicago, but he's credited for the loss after Matt Thornton allowed Barton -- who Floyd walked to start the eighth -- to score. Floyd allowed two hits and two walks while striking out six in 7.1 innings. The defeat drops Floyd to 1-3 on the season.

The loss drops Chicago to 10-7, while Oakland improves to 9-10.
