Phillip Humber's perfect game will be fresh in everyone's minds when the Chicago White Sox and Seattle Mariners take the field on Sunday afternoon, but Sunday's game is a new game with new pitchers, and it will be up John Danks to power the White Sox to their first three-game sweep of 2012.
Danks has been okay so far this season, posting two quality starts in three chances, but he carries a 4.82 ERA into the game, though that will likely come down as the season wears on. In his last start vs. the Baltimore Orioles, Danks threw seven innings and gave up three earned runs on five hits while striking out five and walking two. The good news for him is that the Mariners line up is the most anemic that he's faced this season.
He'll be opposed by Mariners starter Kevin Millwood, who was stellar in his first start of the season vs. the Texas Rangers before getting blasted by the Cleveland Indians in his last time out. Millwood has not faced the White Sox since August of 2010, when he was a member of the Baltimore Orioles.
Game date/time: Sunday, April 22, 3:10 p.m. CT
Location: Safeco Field, Seattle, Wash.
TV: CSN Chicago
