2012 White Sox Spring Training: Robin Ventura Not Yet Settled On A Closer

New Chicago White Sox manager Robin Ventura has yet to decide on a closer to start the 2012 regular season:

Speaking before the Sox’ final Cactus League game Monday against the Brewers, Ventura said, "hopefully when we’re winning in the ninth in the first game’’ when asked when his decision would be known.

"I will know and they will know,’’ Ventura said. "I don’t really feel the need to tell everybody and make a statement about it. I don’t see a need to do it.’’

Matt Thornton, who had the job to start last season, is in the mix again this season, along with Jesse Crain, Hector Santiago and Addison Reed.
