The Chicago White Sox continued their impressive start to the season with a dominant 5-1 victory over the Detroit Tigers. With the win, the White Sox won their fourth straight and moved into the top spot in the Central Division.
Gavin Floyd bounced back from a rough start in his season-opener and looked absolutely tremendous in the win over the Tigers. Floyd pitched six shutout innings and struck out six batters to earn the win. At the plate, the White Sox combined for three home runs, with Alexei Ramirez, Tyler Flowers and Paul Konerko all going deep.
The Tigers received a steady performance from Adam Wilk in the first start of his career. Wilk allowed only two earned runs in five innings. Unfortunately, he received no offensive support in his debut, as Detroit generated only five hits in the loss.
