The Chicago White Sox didn't waste any time in waking up the early morning crowd at Cleveland's Progressive Field on Wednesday morning, jumping out to a 4-1 lead in the first inning. The inning started with a single off Justin Masterson by Alejandro De Aza, who then advanced to second on a Brent Morel bunt single. From there the hits kept on coming, as Adam Dunn singled home De Aza and Paul Konerko brought Morel home with a double to make it 2-0.
Masterson then uncorked a pitch so wild that it allowed Dunn to score and Konerko to advance to third, and then A.J. Pierzynski brought Konerko home with a sacrifice fly to make it 4-0. The Indians got one back in the bottom of the inning when Asdrubal Cabrera scored on a John Danks wild pitch, but Chicago has held the 4-1 lead into the fourth inning, where the game now stands.
