The Chicago White Sox (2-2) take on the Cleveland Indians (1-3) Monday evening. Toeing the rubber for the Indians will be 24-year-old SP Jeanmar Gomez, who starts the season in the Indians' rotation for the first time in his career.
In 2011, Gomez managed a 4.47 ERA and 4.12 FIP through 58 and 1/3 innings. The Venezuelan righty faces off against last year's surprise workhorse, former reliever SP Philip Humber. The 29-year-old Humber started 26 games for the White Sox after having started only 2 MLB games in the first five years of his career.
