John Danks Likely To Start Season-Opener For Chicago White Sox, According To Robin Ventura

On Tuesday afternoon, Chicago White Sox manager Robin Ventura said that as of now, lefty John Danks is his opening-day starter:

"Right now, he is going to be that guy," Ventura said. "We'll move on from there, but I like him as that guy for right now. I'm not making it official. It could schedule out that way.

"It's not an official official."

Danks started Chicago's game against the Angels on Tuesday and struggled with his control over the course of two innings; he allowed three runs on four hits and walked three batters.

The White Sox open the regular season against the Texas Rangers on April 6.
