Baseball fans can rejoice, as we're now just a little over a week away from Opening Day 2012. The final full week of Cactus League play gets underway on Monday, and there's still plenty to watch for as the White Sox have their final tuneups for the regular season.
Here's how Chicago's schedule for the final week of Cactus League play shapes up:
Monday: at Dodgers, 3:05 p.m. CT
Tuesday: vs. Indians, 3:05 p.m. CT
Wednesday: split squad vs. Padres, 3:05 p.m. CT, at Rockies, 3:05 p.m. CT
Thursday: at Dodgers, 3:05 p.m. CT
Friday: at Royals, 8:05 p.m. CT
Saturday: vs. Rockies, 3:05 p.m. CT
Among the storylines White Sox fans can follow this week is the resurgent spring slugger Adam Dunn is having. After a miserable 2011, Dunn is hitting .276/.475/.724 with four homers in 29 Cactus League at bats so far. Sure, it's a very small sample size, but it's certainly encouraging, and hopefully for White Sox fans, it's a sign of things to come in the regular season.
