White Sox Vs. Diamondbacks Preview: John Danks Starting And Hitting In NL Park

The Chicago White Sox (3-9) head to Salt River Fields on Friday, taking on former White Sox pitcher RHP Daniel Hudson and the Arizona Diamondbacks (4-9). Toeing the mound for the White Sox, John Danks comes out looking for a better outing than his third start. In 5.0 innings this spring, Danks has walked 7 batters, struck only 2, and allowed a total of 4 earned runs.

Young C Tyler Flowers will be starting behind the dish. The 6'4" righty is hoping to begin stealing away playing time from veteran C A.J. Pierzynski. The White Sox have elected to play without the designated hitter today. Though they are in an NL park, the White Sox can play with the DH if they so choose during Spring Training, but with DH Adam Dunn still ailing, the team has elected go without.
