Sox Go For Series Win Over Orioles

After losing narrowly in ten innings on Wednesday night, the White Sox will turn to Mark Buehrle to see if he can grab his 10th win of the season and guide the team to a series victory over the O's in Baltimore.

Buehrle, 9-5 with a 3.04 ERA and 1.22 WHIP, will also be looking for his 18th consecutive start allowing three runs or fewer. In his last start, against Minnesota, he threw 8.0 innings, giving up three runs (none earned) on four hits and no walks. In his last game against Baltimore, he earned the win after throwing 6.2 shutout innings, giving up eight hits and four walks, while striking out four. This year, Nick Markakis is 2-for-4 against Buehrle, while Mark Reynolds is 1-for-3 with a double.

Chris Tillman, 3-4 with a 4.85 ERA and 1.53 WHIP, will start for Baltimore. Tillman is coming off of a start against Toronto in which he got the win after pitching 7.0 innings, giving up two runs on four hits and a walk, while striking out five. In his last game against the Sox, Tillman threw 5.0 innings, giving up one run on six hits and two walks. This year, Alexei Ramirez is 3-for-3 against Tillman.

The weather in Baltimore is forecast to be sunny and warm, with a game time temperature in the mid to upper 80's. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 P.M., CDT, and the game will be televised on CSN and MASN HD.
