Homers By Quentin And Paulie Lead Sox To Victory

Philip Humber turned in yet another great start as the White Sox took another game from Seattle, 5-1. Humber pitched 7 2/3 innings, allowing just one run. He struck out five and walked three.

He was backed early by explosive offense on the part of the Sox. Both Paul Konerko and Carlos Quentin took Felix Hernandez deep, and Omar Vizquel added a two run triple.

Hernandez had a rough night overall. King Felix managed just 6.2 innings, giving up five runs on eight hits and two walks. He also struck out five. But those five runs would be enough for the Sox victory, as Seattle was simply unable to get any offense going against Philip Humber. Only four Mariners were able to tally hits against Humber on the night, and big bats like Ichiro’s were largely silent.

The White Sox are on quite the roll, and have now won four of their last six. They’ll go for the sweep against Seattle on Wednesday night at the Cell. First pitch will be at 7:10 P.M., CDT.
