Hamilton, Cruz Return Lead Rangers to Win Over Sox

The White Sox got off to a slow start in what might be the most difficult road trip of the season. John Danks returned to his home state of Texas and pitched ok, but with zero run support Danks remained winless and fell to 0-7 on the season.

Earlier Monday the Rangers activated Josh Hamilton and Nelson Cruz from the disabled list, and what a return they had. Hamilton, who has been out of the lineup since April 12, hit a home run in his first at bat. Cruz, out since May 3, also homered in the game.

The return of Cruz and Hamilton was over shadowed by Rangers starter Alexi Ogando. Ogando was brilliant, throwing a complete game shutout allowing only five hits. The righty improved to 5-0 on the season with an ERA of 1.82.

The Sox will look to even the series on Tuesday evening when the two teams meet in Game two of the three game series.
