Adding more real estate to the listings of ex-Chicago pitchers' homes, the Hinsdale house of former White Sox closer Bobby Jenks is now on the market for $899,000:
↵↵"For the price, it's probably a little more roomy than some of the other houses in that price range, and the master suite is great because it has a sitting room, a great master bath and a nice closet," said Diana Ivas of Re/Max Elite, who is co-listing the home with her husband, Charles.↵↵↵
↵"It has a nice finished basement with a bar and a great area for a pool table. The other thing you don't find in a lot of the houses in Hinsdale is that it's got vaulted ceilings, so when you walk in, the opulence is nice. It has vaulted ceilings in the master bedroom and the great room. So that's kind of special."
Jenks bought a home in Mesa, Arizona, and is intending to raise his family there. The same article indicates that former Sox reliever Scott Linebrink, also a resident of Hinsdale, has a home for sale for $825,000, and that Cubs pitcher Ryan Dempster, who last month reduced the price on a Lakeview home he's selling to $1.95 million, has further reduced that asking price to $1.899 million.
↵↵And if you're interested in living in luxury within walking distance to Wrigley Field, ex-Cubs pitcher Ted Lilly's former home is still on the market for $1,999,900.
